live in the waiting

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12

COVID-19 has us all waiting

When I decided to begin Living While We Wait, I was a military spouse who was always waiting for our next direction. Not everyone could relate. Most people had their days/weeks/years and lives planned out and they could pretty well determine what was going to happen.

Not anymore. Many of you who used to go to work everyday have either been sent home to work remotely or have been laid off. Everyone’s children have been sent home and many are now schooling from home as well.

Life has been turned upside down for most of the world. Remote or no work. Homeschooling. No eating out. No gyms. No salons. No church. No concerts. No gathering.

Social Distancing.

Now is the time to learn to live… while you wait. We can’t dive into a hole and decide never to come out until the virus is gone. We must learn to thrive in the unknown. This is the purpose of creating this community. To bring together people who have decided not to get stuck in their circumstances, but to bloom where they have been planted.

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted on the blog, and though I’ve tried to be more consistent on social media, I really haven’t done what I set out to do. Now is the time to build this community and support one another. Won’t you join me?
